EFT for Weight Loss - Day 1

I have decided to use my EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) practice to create a more healthy body for myself.  In the process, I hope to teach you techniques that you can use for yourself.  I recently had a baby, my first, 4 months ago.  I have found my body transformed in ways I had not imagined.  I thought that this would be a great opportunity to show you my process on myself and give you some insight into my work as a practitioner.

Today is the very first day of this process.

By the way, some of what I say may seem a bit cheesy, but if you go along for the ride, I have a feeling it won’t matter much.

Let’s get started. If you’d like, follow me along with the points and you can use my journey to help you along your way.  Feel free to substitute any of your own thoughts for mine.

First I need to check in with myself.  On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the most intense), my irritation with being overweight is at a 7, enough to motivate me to do something about it.

We start on the karate chop spot.

“Even though I am overweight, actually obese, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”

“Even though my body is uncomfortable, I deeply and completely love and accept myself and I forgive myself for getting this way.”

“Even though I am so large that most of my clothes do not fit me anymore, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.  And I forgive myself for feeling this way.”

Eyebrow point.  I’m overweight.

Side of eye.  I’m so overweight.

Under eye.  I’m uncomfortable.

Under nose.  My belly is so big.

Chin.  My double chin.

Collarbone.  My lack of energy.

Under arm.  It’s hard to move around like this.

Top of head.  I’m so overweight.

Eyebrow point.  I’m okay.

Side of eye.  I can relax now.

Under eye.  I am healthy and strong.

Under nose.  I am on the right path.

Chin.  My body is amazing, healthy and strong.

Collarbone.  I am exactly where I am supposed to be, right now.

Under arm.  I’m okay.  I can relax now.

Top of head.  I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Take a deep breath in and hold it.

Now let it go, nice, big and smooth.

Now, check in with yourself to see how you’re feeling about being overweight.  Give yourself a number from 0-10.

I’m at about a 4, an improvement.  But I’ve got more work to do.

Like I said, this is day one of this journey.  So, I’m being uncharacteristically broad here with my issues.  I’m sure we’ll be getting into the nitty gritty very soon.

Thanks for joining me.  If you’d like to find out more about me, please check out my website at www.taponit.com and to find out more about eft, please check out emofree.com, it is a fabulous resource.  See you next time!
